Your car, your time, your fare.

MyKaab runs on one flat subscription of ₦30,000 a month, not a cut of your trips. What the passenger pays for the journey is yours.

What you keep

No commission.
Not a reduced one.

commission

Commission is a column in the rate card and it is set to zero on every class of car. Approved drivers can choose health cover, life cover and a pension; only what you switch on is charged.

YOUR WORK. YOUR EARNINGS.

What is withheld from a fare

One thing, and it is not a charge. Tax is withheld against your own liability and remitted for you, so the bill does not arrive in one piece at year end.

Tax withholding₦50Withheld against the driver's own liability and remitted for them.

Cover you choose

Offered once you are approved, and charged only if you switch it on. Paid through your subscription rather than taken out of each fare — a deduction on top of a subscription already paid reads as a commission by another name.

Health cover₦100Optional health cover for the driver, owed to the health insurer.
Life cover₦50Optional group life policy, remitted monthly to the underwriter.
Pension₦150Optional pension contribution to a registered administrator.

Switch one off and it costs you nothing. Nothing is deducted for cover you did not ask for, and every line on your statement is one you can account for.

Your month, costed both ways

A commission grows with the work; a subscription does not. Set your own volume and see where the two cross.

An illustration, not an offer. MyKaab’s figures are the published ones: ₦2,500 base, ₦150 a kilometre, ₦50 a minute, a ₦30,000 monthly subscription and ₦50 of tax withheld a trip. The commission column is whatever rate you set above and is not any particular operator’s. A trip is taken as 9 km over 20 minutes.

What the passenger is quoted

The same card the rider sees. Your earnings come off these figures, so there is no second set of numbers anywhere.

Waiting is free for the first 3 minutes at pickup on every class, and charged by the minute after that. The minimum fare is set to the base fare, which is charged on every trip — so the floor never binds and no adjustment line ever appears on your receipt. These are the national rates; a state can be given its own card, and prices from these until it is.

Driver questions

The four that come up most. The rest are on the questions page.

No. MyKaab runs on a flat monthly subscription of ₦30,000, not a cut of each trip. The commission rate on every class of car is zero, so the trip fare is the driver's. For drivers.
